Meet the Author - Andrew L.Botieri

Andrew’s journey as an author began after a life-changing medical crisis. In 2000, he was diagnosed with the rare autoimmune disease Scleroderma, which led to kidney failure and his brush with death experience. Defying the odds, he recovered after a 28-hour coma — an event that inspired his first book, “A Celebration of Life: A Story of Hope, A Miracle & The Power of Attitude.” The memoir shares his extraordinary story of overcoming adversity, resilience, and the importance of maintaining balance in life.   His newest novel, “The Magical Espresso Machine,” marks a creative new chapter. The Magical Espresso Machine is a sweet, dual-timeline, intergenerational love story (with a fantasy twist). Beginning in Northern Italy pre-World War I, the story continues generations later in the historic town of Plymouth, Massachusetts. Follow two star-crossed teenagers, Generosa and Caesar, who were meant to be together forever. Yet the tragedy of war tears them apart. Help out your neighbors in need. Drop off new, unopened diapers to share with our Community Closet, local Early Head Start and food pantries. Please bring diapers to the children's room.

Oncology Yoga

Join us for a free specialized yoga practice open to everyone who has been touched by cancer. A special invitation is extended to caregivers and health care professionals. This program is for people 12+ Space is limited and registration is required. No prior experience is required. Please bring a mat, a blanket, bolter or pillow, yoga blocks (if you have them), and dress in comfortable clothing.  Yoga4cancer is a research based, specialized yoga methodology addressing the specific physical and emotional needs left by cancer and its treatments. Because all yoga is not the same, finding the right yoga teacher is the best first step. Y4C classes are always taught by certified Y4C teachers with knowledge and awareness of the special needs of cancer patients and survivors.  Yoga4cancer will help you: maintain a strong immune system build muscle strength, improve your bone density create self confidence find solutions for treatment side effects reduce stress and improve sleep give you a sense of well-being, cultivate hope and provide a supportive community

Halloween Costume Exchange

Have a gently used Halloween costume that you would like others to be able to use? Drop it off in the Children's Room. We will (hopefully) have a selection of costumes to choose from starting October 1. Didn't drop a costume off, but still need one? Stop by - one costume per child please.

Mindful Meditation & Doodling (Teens)

Join us for a guided wellness program that begins with a short, accessible meditation session followed by mindful doodling exercises inspired by Zentangle. This program is designed to help participants relax, focus, and express creativity in a calm, supportive environment. No prior experience with meditation or art is needed. Registration is required, and space is limited. For grades 7-12. Brought to you by Dimple Shah and the Art of Living Foundation. Dimple Shah is a Sharon-based artist who has loved creating art since the age of five! She studied art at Sophia College in Mumbai, India, where an early passion for color and creativity grew into a lifelong journey of artistic exploration. Along with painting, Dimple loves sharing her creativity with others by conducting art workshops and classes for all ages. You can find Dimple Shah on Instagram @dimparekh.

Adult Paint Night with Sandy Churchill

Sandy Churchill will be at the East Bridgewater Library on Tuesday, September 15th & Tuesday, November 17th. to offer Adult Paint Night events for anyone ages 18+.  To help make sure that more people have the opportunity to attend one of these events, we are asking that you only sign up for one. We appreciate your cooperation with this.  This program is supported in part by a grant from the East Bridgewater Local Cultural Council, a local agency which is supported by the Mass Cultural Council, a state agency.

Books & Bits Story Time

Our most traditional story time. We read books, sing songs, play with egg shakers and talk about all kinds of things. These are geared for ages 2-5 with emphasis on the 5 tenets of early literacy: read, write, play, sing and talk.
